M.A.C Cosmetics Warm Neutral Palette Thoughts and Swatches

Hello everyone! Welcome back! Today, I'm doing a short post about the M.A.C Warm Neutral Palette, along with some swatches. I bought this palette last Tuesday at my local M.A.C store, and to be honest, I've been wanting this palette since it released last year, but I only just recently caved and decided to splurge. These are the first eye products I have ever bought from M.A.C because M.A.C is quite pricey here in Trinidad; this palette costs TT$840 = US$85 (on the M.A.C Cosmetic website).
Quick Look - M.A.C Warm Neutral Palette

Packaging:
Hard plastic casing, with a see-through plastic lid. It's very sleek, and lightweight. I do wish that instead of a see-through lid, there was a mirror, that would make it perfect for travel.
There is a label on the back that contains the name of each shadow and its finish.

The Shadows
This palette contains all warm neutral tones, with various finishes from Frost to Matte.
I will break down the palette according to rows, and having the corresponding name and finish of the shadows.

Closer look at the shadows in the M.A.C Warm Neutral Palette.
First Row
Top row of Warm Neutral Palette
 From left to right
  • Hey (Veluxe Pearl)
  • Warm Breeze (Satin)
  • GingerSnap (Frost)
  • Dark Brew (Velvet)
  • Dance in the Dark (Matte)
Swatches

Swatches of the First Row in the M.A.C Warm Neutral Palette
All of the colours in this row with the exception of Dance in the Dark, swatched and applied smoothly with good pigmentation. Dance in the Dark is extremely patchy, and powdery, it is quite a pain to work with.

Second Row

Second Row - M.A.C Warm Neutral Palette
From left to right

  • Brulé (Satin)
  • Vanilla Extract (Frost)
  • Honey Lust (Luster)
  • Amber Lights (Frost)
  • Saddle (Matte)
Swatches
Swatches from 2nd Row
All the shadows in this row applied and swatched beautifully. Saddle unlike its fellow Matte brother Dance in the Dark, applied like butter, it did not skip, it just glided on in one swipe.

Third Row
Third Row - MAC Warm Neutral Palette
 From left to right
  •  Lemon Tart (Veluxe Pearl)
  • Creative Copper (Luster)
  • Butterfudge (Satin)
  • Divine Decadence (Velvet)
  • Unwind (Veluxe Pearl)
Swatches

Final Row Swatches
All the colours in this row, swatched and applied just as beautifully as the previos one. Lemon Tart and Unwind are definitely going to be shades I play around with. The swatches don't do either of those shades much justice, with Lemon Tart being a gorgeous light yellow gold pearl, and Unwind is the definition of smokey/dirty olive.

Final Thoughts
Despite the high price point, I'm quite impressed by the quality of the eye shadows in this palette. Like I mentioned earlier, this is my first time trying M.A.C eyeshadows, so for a newbie, this give quite a good first impression. With only one shade I can truly call a flop (Dance in the Dark), 14 out of 15 are good quality, very pigmented and soft, without them being crumbly. This is a permanent item in M.A.C's collection, so if you are interested, I recommend going to your local M.A.C store, and giving this guy a swatch. Although I do love this palette, because of the high price point, I can't say run and buy it, unless you want to splurge and spoil yourself like I did.

Thank you all so much for coming by today, I hope you enjoyed today's post. Before I say goodbye, I just wanted to announce that today, I have finally launched a Facebook page for J's Mind Palace! I decided to finally get over my fear of opening a Facebook page, dedicated strictly to my blog. I will leave a link to the end of this post. Thank you all for all the support for the past year, and I can't wait to post more content here.

Remember to have a safe and fun weekend, stay happy, healthy and positive and I shall see you all next Friday!
Bye-bye (^_^)/

L.A Girl Cosmetics Matte Flat Finish Pigment Glosses Swatches and Review

Hello everyone! Welcome back!

I'm feeling better this week, so I decided to play with my L.A. Girl Cosmetics Matte Flat Finish Pigment Glosses that I recently purchased. If you live in Trinidad and want to get your hands on these, you can find them at Tres Belle Cosmetique, Wonderful World, or you can order them from The BeautyBox 868.

I have four shades to share with you today, two of the shades, I've done wear tests with. The shades I own are;
  1. Fleur - peachy nude
  2. Rebel - a mid tone purpley-mauve shade
  3. Secret - deep brick red
  4. Backstage - deep/vampy berry (with purple undertones)
L.A. Girl Matte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss
Wear Testing
I've worn both Fleur (to work) and Rebel (visiting my grandma), and I can say that they are very lightweight, and they do tend to stay the lips for a long time. They wear beautifully throughout the day, even if you are eating and drinking, I'd say approximately 5-6 hours...I lost track of time.....but they leave a nice stain to the lips.

Application
In terms of application, the product has a flat doe type applicator that makes it easy to get the product on and remain within the lines of the lips. However, I do use a lip liner with Fleur, because on it's own it tends to wash out my complexion. These glosses take a while to set, usually about 1minutes (60 seconds) for one layer, and I would advise not smacking your lips together while the product is setting, because it causes the product to flake off.

Backstage & Secret (Lip Swatches)
Backstage is the only one of my four that requires two layers to get the true colour, although on my lips Rebel doesn't look as purple as the swatch but I still really love the colour I get in one layer.

Lip Swatch of Backstage (2 layers)
Secret is going to become a staple for me, because I absolutely adore red lips.
Lip Swatch of Secret (1 layer)
In the end, these are very good products for the price (I paid $35TT on sale), and if you like liquid lipsticks, give these a try. They're inexpensive, long lasting, pigmented, matte without being overly drying the lips, and the chubby packaging is super cute.

Before I end, I just wanted to thank those of you who read my post last week. I'm not usually one to talk about feeling down, however, as I grow older, and I get closer to my dream of becoming a psychologist, it will be important for me to talk about particular topics, mostly mental health, and I se my blog as a great way to integrate that practice.

Thanks again for coming back to my blog, if you're new, then thank you for stopping by and I hope you will pay my blog another visit. Until next Friday, I hope you all stay happy, positive, and healthy!

Review : Rimmel SCANDALEYES Eyeshadow Paint and Eyeshadow Stick

Another Friday, another blog post.

Hey everyone, how are you today? I really hope you're all safe and enjoying your day.
I'm continuing my month of reviews this week, with a couple of products that I absolutely love!
Today's post is going to be all about the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Paints and Eyeshadow Sticks. I have two (2) of each product, and I'm most definitely going to pick up some more. Now, I may have mentioned these products in a few favourites post I've done in the past, but I decided that they needed their own time in the spotlight.

I know many of my foreign readers may not care to read a post about these products since they came out a long time ago over in the UK, USA and Europe, but Rimmel has only been available in Trinidad for approximately one (1) year, so a lot of these products are new to myself and my fellow Caribbean peeps. So without any further ado, let's get into the review.

Rimmel SCANDALEYES Eyeshadow Paint

Swatches: Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Paints in Pomegranate(left) and Rich Russet (right)

The two shades I own are; 019 Pomegranate and 006 Rich Russet.
I was highly skeptical about purchasing these because I saw many mixed reviews on it. It was either people absolutely loved them or they absolutely hated them. So, I decided to try them out for myself to see whether or not I liked them.
These eyeshadow paints are not cream eyeshadows, they are liquid eyeshadows and recently liquid eyeshadows have been "trendy"...I don't know, I'm not one who cares for trends. If I like something, I'm going to wear it whether it's in season or out of season, I really don't care.
Liquid eyeshadows are thinner in consistency to cream eyeshadows, so you have to be careful when blending these out because you run the risk of removing the product from the eye. However, when applied correctly, these are longlasting, beautifully pigmented, and great to grab on an early morning when you are in a hurry. I've been using Rich Russet all week, I wore it for my Master's interview with a warm matte brown shadow in the crease, yesterday, I wore it all over my lid with some mascara, and today I wore it as a base for my (Avon) Satin Taupe eyeshadow with a pop of Makeup Geek Insomnia pigment in the inner corner.

Today's Makeup: Lids: Rich Russet as a base, (Avon) Satin Taupe (lash line to crease) and Makeup Geek Insomnia Pigment (inner corner)

Rimmel SCANDALEYES Eyeshadow Stick

Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Stick in Blackmail (left) and Bad Girl Bronze (right)
I have had my fair share of love/hate relationships with jumbo eyeshadow pencils in the past...I'm looking at you NYX. However, these Rimmel pencil have me singing a happier tune. These are extremely soft and pigmented and extremely long wearing. I've been using 008 Blackmail to tightline and the only time I look like panda is when I'm removing my makeup. I tend to use 003 Bad Girl Bronze, as a stand alone eyeshadow all over the lid on days when time isn't on my side. Through heat and humidity these eyeshadows sticks last. They are amazing on their own or you can use them as a base. I am planning on getting more of these, especially since I can get so much use out of them as an eyeshadow base, a stand alone eyeshadow or a longlasting, waterproof eyeliner.

I highly recommend these two products, and no this is not a sponsored or paid post for Rimmel. I am 100% positive that Rimmel don't even know I exist.

I hope you all have a safe and fun weekend.
I hope to see you all again next Friday for another post.
Stay happy, positive and healthy guys!

My Favourite Single Eyeshadows Part 1 - Bronze, Copper and Gold

Hello darlings!! Today, I'm going to be posting all about some of my favourite single eyeshadows that are great for a single eyeshadow look. I took my inspiration for this post from emilynoel83, from a video she did I believe back in 2013, all about her favourite stand alone eyeshadows that are capable of being used for a one-eyeshadow look.

A little warning : If you live in Trinidad and Tobago, the Avon Single Eyeshadows I'm mentioning, may not be available to you, because Avon has officially stopped selling their products to Trinidad and I believe a few other Caribbean islands.  I'm sorry for including them since they are hard to get your hands on, but you don't need to get the exact products listed here.

All of the eyeshadows that will be mentioned, are a mid-tone colour with a shimmery/metallic in finish, but when blended into the crease, they take on a softer, more satin look, creating the illusion of two separate shadows on the eye.I usually do this type of eyeshadow look when I'm strapped for time on a morning, or if I'm feeling lazy and don't want to use multiple eyeshadows for one look.

Simple, One Eyeshadow Look Using Avon Satin Taupe Single Eyeshadow

1. Bronze and Copper

Bronzes and Coppers look amazing on brown eyes, because to me they bring out the richness in the brown. I also find that these shadows bring out the warmth in my skintone. I have a warm/yellow undertone to my skin (MAC NC44/ True Match W7).

Top Row:
  • Avon Single Eyeshadow (full review in archives)
    • Copper - (true copper colour)
    • Bronze Luster - (deep smokey bronze shade with some gold shimmer throughout)
    • Satin Taupe - (a brown taupe shade)
Bottom Row:
  • Milani Single Powder Eyeshadow - Caramel Brown (A golden bronze brown)
  • L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow - Bronzed Taupe- The Infallible Eyeshadows from L'Oreal, closely resemble a pressed pigment and are best applied with the fingers.
Swatches of each of the aforementioned eyeshadows.
All of these eyeshadows are very soft and pigmented, and they don't typically need any base/primer beneath them unless you have super oily eyelids, then I will recommend using a eyeshadow primer underneath.

2. Gold

Excuse me while I rip off Goldmember from Austin Powers by saying, " I love gold!"
Gold eyeshadow on my eyelids just make me extremely happy. I have a good number of gold eyeshadows, but the following three (3), are my favourite for a single eyeshadow look.
Each of these shadows have a very warm tone but are not strong yellow golds by any means, therefore they really bring out the warmth in the skin, or at least in my skin.
Slight warning about the Prestige eyeshadow, it is super pigmented, the texture is quite similar to the L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows, where it feels incredibly soft, but the amount of pigment is insane, so be very careful when applying it. I recommend applying onto the lid with a finger, then blending out with a fluffy brush like the CALA 311 or Ecotools Blending Brush.

 Left to Right:
  • NYX Single Eyeshadow- Oro
  • Prestige Eyeshadow - Golden Retriever
  • Milani Runway Eyes Baked Eyeshadow - Bronze Doll
Swatches
Part 2 of this series will go live either next Friday or this Sunday, I haven't decided on that just yet, but I didn't want to make this post too picture heavy. I've also bought some new products to test out, and I can't wait to get to work on those post. I'll post a picture of the hauled products on Instagram, so be sure to follow me over there, also I posted my May favourites on my Instagram also so feel free to check it out (@ladyjpsych).

I believe that is all for today, I hope you all have a great weekend, and a great week, and I will talk to you all again very soon.
Stay happy, positive and healthy darlings.

Maybelline Clean Express Makeup Remover

Hello dolls, this is my second time doing this post, because my Blogger app decided to crash before the full draft could upload....yay (n_n).

Today, I'm going to be talking all about the Maybelline Clean Express Makeup Remover.

In my last empties post, I spoke about the Simple Kind To Eyes Makeup Remover, and I mentioned that I was trying out something new to me because I've never used any eye makeup remover other than the one from Simple. Earlier this week, I posted a picture teasing this makeup remover, and all I can say is that this thing knocks my socks off.

Teaser Picture from my Instagram
Product Claims :
  • Quick-Break Action - Shake to activate dual phase formula. First Phase instantly breaks up stubborn makeup, even waterproof mascara, while the second washes it clean.
The claim that this makeup remover instantly breaks up makeup made me laugh in the store, and that was what drove me to try this out for myself. I will admit, this things breaks up makeup very quickly including waterproof mascara and long-lasting gel liner, and you need to use very little to get fast results and I didn't experience any irritation when using it.
What I do, is put 3-4 drops onto a cotton pad or cotton round, hold it to the eye, count to five (5) and then boom, eye makeup is gone.
It's great at cleaning up any fallout from shadows under the eye as long as you don't have on your base makeup, and I know a lot of people tend to do face first then eyes, I tend to do the opposite (eyes then face).

This makeup remover cost me approximately $50TT, which is really good price especially since my beloved Simple Makeup Remover is double that at $100TT. The Maybelline Clean Express Makeup Remover, does give you a lot more bang for your buck, it removes makeup faster than the Simple, it's gentle on the eyes as it has no perfume/fragrance and it's half the price of the Simple.

Would I recommend this product? Yes, I highly recommend it.

This therefore concludes, this weeks post. I know I haven't posted a May favourites just yet, I'm working on it and I am also working on a post all about my favourite single eyeshadows, that can be used to achieve a quick and simple one shadow look for work or school. Emilynoel83 on YouTube who runs Beauty Broadcast blog, did a video on this I believe last year, if not, the year before and I was never able to get it out of my head, so I figured I would do my own version of it.

Until next time, stay happy, stay positive and stay healthy and I will talk to you all soon.
Bye (^_^)/

Mascara Triple Threat Battle: L'Oréal Butterfly vs. Maybelline The Rocket vs. Maybelline Lash Sensational

Hello everybody, welcome back to my blog. This week, I'm going to be reviewing not one, but three mascaras. Now I know I've mentioned the L'Oréal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara in previous blog post, but I was getting a bit bored of it so I decided to try a couple other mascara both from Maybelline, and do a comparison of them and try to figure out which one I like the most. So enough rambling, let's get on with the battle!

L'Oréal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara
Undoubtedly a favourite of mine, I've mentioned in multiple posts including favorites and it is my golden standard for mascara. It lengthens and voluminizes the lashes without clumping, smudging or flaking. It's one of the best mascaras I've ever used and it is a staple in my collection.
Lash-Out Butterfly Mascara in Blackest Black
Maybelline The Rocket Volume Express Mascara
This mascara has had a lot of hype and raving reviews since it first launched, but I was quite skeptical about it so I never tried it out until two weeks ago, and man, do I regret not trying it out earlier. The volume and definition this mascara gives the lashes is crazy. It gives me a more dramatic look than the L'Oreal Butterfly and Miss Manga Mascaras ever did. I have to give credit to the wand on this mascara, it's a rubber want with small bristles that get to ever single lash, including the ones I didn't even know I had. The formula is a bit wet, even after being opened for two weeks, but it doesn't cause my eye lashes to droop throughout the day, it's practically weightless. Another major plus for this mascara is the fact that it does not give me crunchy, brittle eyelashes. I'm definitely going to be repurchasing this mascara, it is indeed now a must have for me!
The Rocket Volume Express by Maybelline

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara (Waterproof)
I accidentally picked up this mascara in the waterproof formula, and I will admit I'm not the biggest fan of waterproof mascara, because the leave my lashes feeling crunchy and brittle, however, I got so excited when I finally found it, I didn't realise it was the waterproof formula but I figured I'd still give it a fair chance. Unfortunately, despite being waterproof, I experienced some smudging and flaking with this mascara, which usually never happens when I wear waterproof mascaras. Neither the Voluminous Butterfly nor The Rocket have smudged on me and they aren't waterproof, so I don't know why that smudging occurred.
Another thing I've noticed, despite this mascara having an identical want to the Voluminous Butterfly Mascara, the Lash Sensational gives the lashes a very natural and defined look, it's not very sensational at all in my opinion. It's a good mascara if you aren't looking for a dramatic lash look, or if you in a rush and just want to pop on some mascara without your lashes looking like you're wearing a lot of product. Honestly, with a name like Lash Sensational, I was expecting sensational lashes, but all I got was a natural and defined lashes. I will continue to use it, but I highly doubt I will be repurchasing this mascara.
Lash Sensational Mascara by Maybelline

Winner!: Mayybelline The Rocket Mascara!!!
I was completely blown off my feet with the impact this mascara has on my lashes and I will continue to purchase it. As much as I love my Voluminous Butterfly Mascara, The Rocket amplifies my lashes, truly intensifying the drama.

I thought about doing this post last night, which is why it's so late (if you're reading this on Friday). I had to wait until I got home from work to complete this post, so thank you all for being patient. Next week's post will be on time (hopefully). Thank you all for all of the support, stay clued to my Instagram (@ladyjpsych), where I'll be posting another IntsaReview during the week and maybe a few more selfies.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and great upcoming week, stay happy, healthy and positive and I shall see you soon!

Review - Jordana Fabuliner

Another week, another blog post!
Hello lovelies, I hope you all had a wonderful week. This week's post is all about the Jordana Fabuliner.
Jordana Fabuliner - Black
I purchased this a couple of weeks ago in an attempt to find an inexpensive and reliable liquid eyeliner pen. In one of my first makeup related posts on this blog, I did a Makeup Battle Royale featuring the Milani Eye Tech Extreme Liquid Eyeliner Pen and the L'Oreal Infallible Super Slim Eyeliner Pen and I absolutely loved the Milani liner opposed to the L'Oreal. However, in Trinidad, the Milani Eye Tech stills holds quite a hefty price, so when I saw the Jordana Fabuliner was only $20TT, I had to give it a try. I've been using it almost every day since I bought it, putting it through wringer, to see if it holds a candle to its sister the Milani Eye Tech Extreme (Milani and Jordana Cosmetics are sister companies), and I have to say the Jordana Fabuliner, has left me highly impressed.

Swatch Jordana Fabuliner
As you can see from the picture above, the Jordana Fabuliner is pitch black and matte. I personally am not a fan of shiny or vinyl finish eyeliners, therefore I absolutely adore the finish of this eyeliner. Another pro of this eyeliner, is its lasting power. I cannot stress enough how badly I need an eyeliner that stays put with or without an eye primer, and after consecutive test both w/o eye primer, walking around in humid, midday Caribbean sun, I can say, this thing doesn't budge! Not once did it fade, crease or break down in the heat.
  • Picture 1: Slightly dramatic winged liner with primer
  • Picture 2: Avon Extralasting Eyeshadow Pencil in Amethyst, Jordana Fabuliner
  • Picture 3: Jordana Fabuliner w/o primer after 10 hours

My only problem with the Fabuliner, is the very tip of the pen. It looks more like a marker and it's quite difficult to get all the way into the inner corner, but you get used to it after some practice. The very tip of the pen, doesn't deposit much product so to get to the very inner corner, you have to press/stamp the length of the felt tip pen to the inner corner of the eye.

Fabuliner Tip
Summary:
Pros:
  1. Inexpensive
  2. Pigmented and Matte finish
  3. Long-lasting
  4. Smudge-proof
  5. Waterproof
Cons:
  1. Tip of the felt marker too wide to go into the inner corner

All in all, this is a great, inexpensive felt liner pen and I'm surprised that I don't hear much about it. I highly recommend this eyeliner to everyone.
I know that this post might seem slightly rushed, but I really didn't feel the need to beat around the bush a whole lot on this post. I've been super excited to tell you all about this product so I decided to jump right in.
Feel free to follow me on Instagram (@ladyjpsych) where I post randomly throughout the week, and also I have a new Pinterest follow button to the top of my blog page...yay!
I hope you all have a great week, stay happy, healthy and positive.
I shall see you all next Friday!

Easy Work/Everyday Makeup Part 2.

Hello everyone,
I'm finishing off my work/everyday makeup ideas post today with part 2.
Note: Base Makeup is the same for all looks, with the exception of the Bronze Daytime Smokey Eye. For details on the base products used in all the other looks, see part 1 ( http://jsmindpalace.blogspot.com/2015/04/easy-everydaywork-makeup.html).
Now I love a good winged liner look, and for all of these looks, I had winged out eyeliner, ranging for subtle to bold, but I got away with it because I wear glasses, and my frames detract from the bold eyeliner (yay four-eyed perks!)

Work/Everyday Makeup pt.2

Look 1 - Copper Winged Liner
I started off the week by doing subtle winged liner with an eyeliner pencil. I used the Avon Mega Impact eyeliner in Rich Copper. It gives definition to the eye without being as dramatic as a black eyeliner, and the copper colour brings out the warmth in my dark brown eyes. This liner does contain some gold glitter, which I played off of by adding Sacha Gold Rush Eyeshadow (I believe this is discontinued) in the inner corner. Some mascara and a soft neutral/nude lip (I'm rocking some lip balm here) and the look is complete.
Copper Liner with Lip Balm

Look 2 - Work and Event Look (Bronze Daytime Smokey Eye)

The next look I did was for both work and an event that I attended after. It's was bronze-y smokey eye, with winged liner and pinky lips.I used my Smashbox Full Exposure Palette for the eyeshadows, L'Oreal Lacquer Liner for my winged liner and my lip colour was Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Sultry.
My foundation was L'Oreal True Match W7 because it has a natural finish, is long-lasting and feels lightweight on the skin. I also used Milk of Magnesia as a mattifer because I knew it was going to be a long and hot day.
Brushes used:

*Smashbox Full Exposure Palette Double Ended Brush,
*CALA Eyeshadow 313,  CALA Blending Brush 311 , Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush
Smashbox Full Exposure Palette
Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm- Sultry

Look 3 - Golden Eyes
A simple, one eyeshadow look but unfortunately I cannot find this eyeshadow in stores. The eyeshadow in question is Nicka K HD Eyeshadow in 3009 (Love!). It is a beautiful golden brown shadow, that when blended out in the crease transforms into a gorgeous satin finish brown. I used the Eco-tools Full Eyeshadow Brush to apply the shadow and then I went ahead and lined my eyes with the Jordana 12HR Made To Last Eyeliner Pencil in 02 Espresso Last, and popped some of Sacha's Gold Rush Shadow into the inner corner.
Lips: Jordana Twist and Shiny - Honey Love
Sascha - Gold Rush (circular pan), Nicka K HD Eyeshadow - 3009 (rectangular pan)
Look 4 - Winged Liner on Fleek!
Ugh...I can't believe I used the term fleek but I think that maybe the only term to describe just how much I love this liner look and just how great it looks, especially if you wear large framed glasses.
Winged Liner Appreciation.
Without my glasses, it looks incredibly long and bold but with the frames on, it looks like your run of the mill, everyday wing.
I started off by priming my lid with my Smashbox Shadow Primer, then I used Milani Single Powder Eyeshadow in Caramel Brown from lash line to crease, again using my Eco-tools Full Eyeshadow Brush.

Now for the wing, I used the L'Oreal Infallible Lacquer Liner in Blackest Black and my CALA 508 Eyeliner Brush. The 508 is similar to the Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush, but the bristles are a tad shorter and less tapered, which makes doing the wing very easy. I just draw a line from the edge of my lower lash line, and go up towards the end of my eyebrow. I stopped where my orbital bone starts and then dragged the liner inwards towards my eye and lash line. I am considering doing a short video or pictorial on how I do my liner exactly, since it's hard to explain in just words.
Lips: NYX SN06 (I'm hooked on this stuff!)

I honestly wish I wasn't anxious about sitting in front of a camera and actually recording my eyeliner application, but I have a tendency to clam up in front of cameras (never going to be an actress ever!). I think I'm going to try and conquer that fear just to do a video on my winged liner application, although there are a lot of videos on YouTube about it.
Anywhosies, that is all for me today, and as usual I do hope you all have a fantastic weekend. Stay happy, healthy and positive and I will see you next Friday.
Bye (^_^)/

Haulage! First of 2015

Hey guys, it's been a while since I posted a haul and since I've been slowing building up a collection of products that I've purchased, I figured I'll do a combined haul post for you all.

Eyes:
L'Oreal Infallible 24HR Eyeshadow
I can not lie, I am obsessed with the L'Oreal Infallible 24hr Eyeshadows... I now own 6 and continuing to slowly develop my collection of these. The latest addition to my collection are Golden Sage (333) and Midnight Blue (889). My only wish was that Trinidad got the limited edition shadows collections that come out ever so often with this line...Burst into Bloom I will find you (T_T). Excuse my melodrama, I adore the feel of these eyeshadows, they're buttery but not powdery, basically like a pressed pigment. They are easy to blend and when applied with your finger, which is my preferred method of application, the colour payoff is freaking ridiculous! I have included swatches below, and I kid you not when I say I just touched my fingers to the product, no swirling my finger around the eyeshadow, just touching.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 100 Caramel Cool
I was lucky enough to grab the last one of this shade at SuperPharm recently, and I do believe this will soon become my new go-to everyday eyeshadow. It is beautiful. It's a metallic warm copper brown, and it blends like a dream. I believe this was part of the 2014 Spring collection from Maybelline and it's only now available in Trinidad.

Rimmel ScandalEyes Liquid Eyeshadow 019 Pomegranate
It's a liquid eyeshadow. It's not a eyeshadow base, nor does it have the consistency to be an eyeshadow base. I haven't yet tested the longevity of this product on the eyes, but the colour is gorgeous. I absolutely love red/cranberry shades on the eyes, so I'm really excited to wear this in the upcoming weeks.

Lips:
Maybelline Color Sensational Matte Lipstick in 660 Touch of Spice
This colour is gorgeous! It's soft and creamy and glides onto the lips. The best part is, it does not dry out the lips! Oh and it smells like a vanilla cream cupcake....YES!

I have some more products that I'd like to share with you, particularly some new brushes I've been trying out, so be on the lookout for that.
Side note, this week, Trinidad and Tobago is in full swing Carnival 2015 mode. If you're going to be out on the road, please be safe, we know how crazy the roads get around this time. If you're playing mas this year, I hope you have fun on the streets, and again be safe.
If you're not from Trinidad and Tobago and you won't be taking part in Trinidad Carnival, I hope you all have a fun and safe weekend and upcoming week.
I shall see you lovelies next Friday, with a new post.
Bye (^_^)/
