New Year! New Schedule and Content!

Hello everyone!
Happy New Year!!
Welcome 2016, I wish you all the best for the upcoming year. I wish you health, prosperity, and happiness for this upcoming year, and I thank you for all of your support during 2015.
2015 was a bit tumultuous for me, especially coming down to the end of it, however, I've survived, and ready to tackle 2016, and I hope all of you are ready to take on the new year also.

I'm about to enter the second semester of my Masters degree...yikes! This upcoming semester, and this year is going to be incredibly hard and hectic, therefore I have to make some changes to both my posting schedule, and content.

In terms of content, I will attempt to maintain posting product reviews, and even some makeup looks, however, my country, Trinidad and Tobago is currently in a recession, therefore I will have to control my spending since prices on imported goods will sky rocket. Also, considering my semester fees and textbooks, new product releases are going to have to go on the back burner for a while.
I've talked about posting content related to my Masters/Post Graduate journey, which I'm still working on, however, I've been toying with the idea of doing it like a bi-weekly journal entry (once every two weeks), to chart any personal or professional growth throughout the remainder of my programme.

My posting schedule for 2016 will be shifted to the weekends. For now, I will be posting on Saturday afternoons, however, there may be some weeks where it will shift to Sunday mornings, to accommodate for my assignments and projects

The schedule is not set in stone, since I have no clue how my semester is planned out, so any changes will be updated.

Thank you all so very much for stopping by, and again Happy New Year to you all.
As always, stay happy, healthy and positive and I shall talk you all very soon.

Bye (^_^)/

What's Up Series #8 - Update

Hello everyone!
Welcome back to J's Mind Palace, thank you so very much for stopping by today.

Today's post is going to be just a short and general update about life, and what changes may occur in the upcoming months.

I was only recently accepted into my Masters' Degree programme, and with classes starting as early as Monday, this may impact my ability to post every Friday like I promised for this year. I am in the process of brainstorming ideas for blog post and keeping notes on them to help ease the burden of figuring out what to post about. I am essentially, making a blog schedule, so I hopefully would not have to go without posting while doing my first semester of postgraduate studies.
What this also means is that I won't be able to allocate as much funds for purchasing products (makeup, games, skin care) as I would usually, because I will have books and other supplies to purchase, so there may not be as many makeup reviews as there has been for the past couple of months.

I am planning on doing a series of looks with my M.A.C Warm Neutral Palette. I was going to do it this week, however, I've been having some serious sinus issues this week, so I decided to put that off until a later date, and I will try to toss in some looks done with a couple of Makeup Geek Pigments I've purchased a couple months ago.I also have a hair care routine post coming in October.

If you would like to keep updated on the blog, and whether or not I would be able to post on any particular day, you can check out my Facebook page; facebook.com/jsmindpalace where I will keep you updated.

I do believe that is all for now, thank you again for stopping by, and I hope you have a lovely weekend.
I shall see you all again very soon, until then stay happy, healthy and positive!

Bye guys!

Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer Review

Hello everyone!

I've had a very emotional week this week, and initially wasn't planning to post today. However, I decided that since I was near the end of my Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer, that I would a short and quick review for you all.

Before I get started, I just wanted to say thank you so much for 800 views on my blog. I'm very grateful for all your support ^w^.

Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer

Rimmel London Fix & Perfect Pro Primer 002
Product Claims:
  1. Smoothes
  2. Resurfaces
  3. Brightens
  4. Mattifies
  5. Protects
  6. Prolongs foundation wear
For me, the first two claims go hand in hand. This product does smooth and even out the skin's texture. I have enlarged pores on my cheeks, and although they are still noticeable when I use the primer, my skin feels super smooth, and my foundations glide on easily, and my enlarged pores are not as noticeable once the foundation is applied.

I haven't really noticed any brightening effects with this primer so the third claim, I'm just going to cross out. However, this primer does mattify the skin once applied, and depending on the climate you live it, it just might keep you matte for half the day or even all day. For me, I usually have to blot after 3 hours of initial application, but then again oily/combo skin, in the Caribbean, it's to be expected.

Finally, the claim that it protects is slightly vague. I will say that I haven't broken out while using this primer, and I've not noticed any clogged pores. If the claim protects means it protects the skin from whatever you apply on top of it (which all primers basically do by creating a barrier between your skin care products and makeup), then yes it does the job.

Product and Texture:

This product is a white, lotion type primer that dries down clear. It has a very strong fragrance, but it wanes after being applied. The scent reminds me of baby lotion, so if you can't stand heavy fragrances, I'll recommend trying another primer.

Swatches of Fix & Perfect Primer by Rimmel
Conclusion:
I got so wrapped up in using this primer since I purchased it, that it became an everyday staple. This definitely a product that I will buy again. I will however have to add a mattifer on top just to have added oil control, but even without a dedicated mattifier, I really do enjoy this primer. I still can't believe I didn't notice earlier how much I enjoyed this primer, and I'm sad that it's almost finished. If you are in the market for a good drugstore primer, although the e.l.f Mineral Face Primer is my hands down favourite, Rimmel Fix & Perfect comes it very closely in second place.

Thank you all for visiting my blog once again, I hope you all enjoyed. Next week I am hoping to do a skin care routine post *fingers crossed*
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and I shall talk to you again very soon. Stay happy, positive and healthy, until next time....
Bye guys (^_^)/

J's Thoughts #1- Chit Chatting about Feeling Down

Hello everyone,

I know for the past month, I've been throwing out product reviews and I even revived my Game Corner Series, which was mega fun for me, however, it's been a while since I just wrote about myself and how I've been doing, so I figured that today I would do that.
I had planned to do a skin care blog post to talk about some new products I've introduced to my routine, but I just have no drive to make that post today.

Today for the first time in approximately a month, I have no drive or excitement to post or write or even to play a video game. I told one of my friends earlier this week that I just feel so exhausted by everything, but today is definitely the worse day of them all. I posted some swatches on my Instagram today, only to delete it an hour later, simply because I didn't feel excited about my post. I'm usually really excited to post my swatches, or pictures of my dogs and random selfies, but today, I just feel meh.

You're probably wondering why I've decided to share this on my blog?

Well the answer is simple, I know I am not the only person who falls into these slums. Also, as a person who is planning on becoming a Psychologist, it's important for me to acknowledge these moods, and negative emotions, and find means to adapt or just simply relax and let them run their course.

I've spent so much of my life hiding behind a fake smile, try not to acknowledge my feelings, that only now I've come to realize, I'm not always going to be happy or optimistic, I'm going to have days, hell even weeks where I just feel run down, sad, and unenthusiastic.

I just need to remind myself, like I am reminding you, better days are coming. Even if it doesn't feel that way, hold on little one because they are. These feelings and moods won't last forever, and you just need to take baby steps to get your groove back.

I know this isn't in the usual nature of my blog, but this is not just my space for sharing my favourite games, makeup and beauty items, but it's also a place for me to place what's on my mind, it is my Mind Palace!

I'll return to my normal postings next week, but for now, I need to rest. I know this post is a bit of a downer but everyone experience lows in their life, I'm just choosing to share my with the world.
Until I see you lovely people again next week, stay safe.
Bye guys (^-^)

Makeup Battle Royal #4: Battle of the Setting Sprays - Sacha Cosmetics versus L'Oreal

Welcome back to my blog.
Today, I have another Battle Royal(e) all about makeup setting sprays. One of which I've used for years, and the other is new to me but I've been enjoying it a great deal. Today, I'm putting the Sacha Cosmetics Fix It Setting Spray up against L'Oreal Infallible Pro Spray & Set.

Sacha Fix It Setting Spray (left), L'Oreal Infallible Pro Spray & Stay (right)
Packaging:
  • Sacha: Throughout the years, the Sacha Fix It has gone through many cosmetic changes. At first it was in a translucent plastic spray bottle, then it was a pure glossy black plastic bottle. However, the new Fix It spray comes in a silver metal spray bottle which I really do like.
  • L'Oreal: This is a matte black plastic spray bottle. I love the matte black and it feels extremely light, so your arms won't get tired when holding it up to spray.

Cost:
  • L'Oreal : $99.99TT; US$16.99 (L'Oreal Paris Website)
  • Sacha: $55-70TT (cannot recall the exact price, but prices vary where you purchase it); US$20 (Sacha Cosmetics Website)

Product Claims:
  • Sacha: Sacha Fix It Spray instantly sets makeup, keeping it fresh and smudge-resistant for hours.
  • L'Oreal:  Makeup Extender Setting Spray, Long Lasting Finish, extends just applied makeup look.
Don't expect either of these to keep you mattified throughout the day, because they are not designed for that. They strictly made to set your makeup and hopefully extend the wear of your products.
I will say that when I use the Sacha spray, the finished look tends to seem a bit more lived in but I have oily/combo skin, and I often experience my makeup smudging when I blot, even if I blot with blotting paper. However, with the L'Oreal I don't experience much smudging at all. The places I experience smudging with the Sacha spray are on the nose (glasses wearer, so it's common), under the eye and my forehead; whereas with the L'Oreal the smudging occurs on my nose only.

Scent:
Now I must warn you, the Sacha Fix It spray has a harsher scent than the L'Oreal. The Sacha tends to smell like astringent while the L'Oreal smells a bit like aloe baby powder with alcohol (weird description I know!). I've gotten use to the scent of the Sacha Fix It so it doesn't bother me too much, but if you're sensitive to smells you may prefer to try the L'Oreal.

Winner?! - It's a Draw!
Honestly, I can't choose a clear winning because some days, I prefer the finish of the Sacha over the L'Oreal and vice versa, and sometimes the smudging does not bother me. To me these are both well preforming setting sprays, and what it truly boils down to is how much you want to pay for your setting spray.

Thank you for coming out and reading today's post, I hope you enjoyed. I'm sorry I couldn't choose a clear winner, but at the end of the day, my word is not the be all and end all, what I may enjoy you may dislike.
Anyhow, I do hope you all have a great weekend, Eid Mubarack to all of my Muslim readers, and I shall see you all next week with another review (I'm on fire with these reviews...lol!)

Remember to stay happy,, healthy and positive,
until next time...

Milani Eyeshadow Primer - Is it a Dupe for Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion?

Welcome back to my blog everyone!
Today, it's all about the Milani Eyeshadow Primer.

Milani is one of my favourite inexpensive makeup brands, and can be found in Trinidad at Wonderful World.
I've been putting off getting this eyeshadow primer, simply because I own a fair few, and I didn't really want to buy another one. If you're a regular visitor, you would know that I've been searching far and wide for an inexpensive alternative to my trusty Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (UDPP) and my Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Eyeshadow Primer.

**I've tried eyeshadow primers from Nicka K (which I previously reviewed; http://jsmindpalace.blogspot.com/2015/05/nicka-k-perfecting-eyeshadow-primer.html).
**I've also tried one from Rimmel, which I did a quick review on my Instagram (@ladyjpsych).

Now to the Milani Eyeshadow Primer:
Milani Eyeshadow Primer
I've been using this primer for two weeks now, and I can safely say that this is a great dupe for the UDPP.
The product itself is similar in appearance, texture and finish to the UDPP. The only difference I find between the two is the price. The UDPP cost approximately $190-$200TT, which roughly around US$18-US$20 while the Milani Eyeshadow Primer costs approximately $60-$65TT (US$5.99).

In terms of longevity, this primer holds up well. I've gotten between 8-10 hours of wear with little to no creasing or fading whatsoever, similar to the UDPP, in my experience.
After 10 hours of wear.
When I use this product, not only do I use it on my eyelid but I also put some in my brows to help make my brow products last a bit longer during the day, and it really works. Usually my oily/combo skin eats away at my brow products, leaving gaps but since I started priming my brows with this, I've had no problems with that.

Milani Eyeshadow Primer applied all over the eye and into the brows.

This primer is unbelievable especially for the price range. I absolutely love this eyeshadow primer. I've actually put away my UDPP and have been strictly using the Milani primer because it's so good.

This to me is definitely an amazing dupe for the UDPP, I highly recommend it! ^O^

Please forgive me, I know this post is a lot later than usual, got thrown off schedule a bit but better late than never...right?!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and a great week next week. I don't think I'm going to be doing a monthly favourites for June, simply because I did my Favourite Single Eyeshadow posts, and those were basically my loves for June. Feel free to check it out if you'd like. As always stay happy, healthy and positive, come over to my Instagram (@ladyjpsych), I'd love to have you there. I've been contemplating starting a Facebook page for the blog, let me know if you guys would be interested in that in the comments.

Thanks for stopping by everyone,
Bye (^_^)/.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation and Powder Review

Hello doves, I'm still very ill hence why this post is a little bit later than usual. My sinuses are congested, tonsils are painfully inflamed and I have really bad muscle aches, but I am going to fight through it to get this post up. It's going to be a concise post because I really need to get some rest. It's been over a week, and I'm feeling worse now than when I first got this cold.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation 310 Sun Beige

Holy crap, I love this stuff! My only wish is that it came with a pump. This shade matches me perfectly. If you need a reference I'm a W7 in L'Oreal True Match and NC44 in MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation. I've used this foundation with and without a primer for a week, ( I haven't worn makeup since I got sick...yikes!) and I have to say this foundation is awesome.

Firstly, it has a beautiful consistency, it's isn't overly thick but it is not at all watery. It's creamy and super lightweight and it blends like an absolute dream. I use my Real Techniques Expert Face brush, and buff the foundation into my skin. Super quick and easy.

The second thing I absolutely love about this foundation is the finish. The finish is not at all heavy or cake-y, your skin just looks demi-matte and naturally flawless. My makeup area is directly next to a window, so I usually use a mix of natural light  and artificial light to apply my makeup, so I can usually see off the bat if my foundation is looking heavy, and it never has.

Third, this foundation does indeed leave you looking poreless. I personally, have a lot of open pores on my cheeks and around my nose, but with this foundation, you can't tell and that makes me quite happy.

Finally, this foundation, does a pretty good job at keeping me matte. I have to blot a lot less with this particular foundation than usual. I usually have to blot every 2 hours, but with this I can get away for 4-5 hours straight without needing to blot (if used with powder), or 3-4 hours without blotting if used on it's own.

In conjunction with the Maybelline Matte and Poreless Powder, also in shade 310 Sun Beige, the longevity and oil control ability is really great.

Maybelline Matte and Poreless Powder 310 Sun Beige

N.B. I've rocked the powder sans foundation with just a bit of primer underneath, and the coverage is light/medium which is impressive for a pressed powder. It does a great job of controlling oil and evening the complexion.

I wore both to Ani-Market 2015 that took place here in Trinidad, and goodness me did this foundation hold out. I applied it at 8 am, I got wet in rain, got sweaty thanks to high humidity, spent hours walking around the convention with my friends, blotted once during lunch at 1pm, snapped a selfie with one of my best friends close to 3pm, and this is what my skin looked liked (I'm the one with the purple hair)...
Selfie @ Ani-Market 2015 with my Best Friend ChenChen
It's absolute craziness!

In the end, I absolutely love this foundation, before I tried it, I was on the fence about purchasing it, but I'm really happy that I did. It's about $60-$70TT which is cheaper than my beloved L'Oreal foundations, so I am positive that this will be a staple in my makeup collection.

This concludes this week's blog post, I'm going to go lie down and listen to some music and continue fighting this beast of a cold. I hope you all have a great weekend. Ramadan Mubarak to all of my Muslim readers, keep safe during this time. To all of my US readers, have a great 4th of July weekend, keep safe.

Question: If I were to get my hands on the L.A. Girl Nude Eyeshadow Palette, would you prefer to see a review with swatches, or a few looks and review? Comments are welcomed here.

Feel free to follow me on Instagram (@ladyjpsych) I post stuff there, and my Pinterest (J's Mind Palace). I also have a Tumblr under the same name, where I reblog all of the weird/nerdy/psych related things.
I hope everyone keeps safe, and stay happy, healthy and positive and I shall talk to you all very soon!
Bye (^_^)/

Garnier Daily Shine Control BB Cream Review

Hello everyone! So happy you can make it today. I hope you're all having a wonderful day today. I'm currently under the weather, but that isn't going to prevent me from doing this review for you.

Claims: This bb cream, promises to control shine, minimize pores, even skin tone, hydrate and protect.

In terms of shine control, it's alright. I still have to blot every 2-3 hours with or without a primer underneath.I do live in a hot and humid climate (Trinidad) and I have combo/oily skin.

Minimizes Pores
....not really. My pores look the same when I wear this. I have noticed that the finish of this bb cream may exaggerate my pores a bit and it looks quite heavy as opposed to my actual foundation. I do use a small amount of the bb cream so I don't understand why the finish looks so cakey, (in person). So tough cookies there.

Even Skin Tone
It does even.out my skin tone, however, for the colour medium/dark it comes off super light at first but eventually it matches me well enough.

Hydrates
Meh, it doesn't seem that way to me at all. Then again, in my skin tends to over hydrate itself (oily!).

Protects
This bb cream contains SPF 20, which is a reasonable amount of SPF coverage, but I don't recommend using this as your main spf throughout the day. Take note of the UV index in your area and choose your spf according because some days SPF 20 just isn't going to cut it.

Picture taken right after application

Two hours after application.

Although, this may not be my favourite product, it is not bad. It is good for days when you want a bit of coverage, but you're not in the mood for foundation.

Please forgive me if this post seems rushed, I'm currently under the weather and in need of rest. I have more reviews in the coming weeks, so look forward to that.
Thank you taking time out of your day to read my blog, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend and week ahead and I shall see you next time.

Bye! (^_^)/

My Favourite Single Eyeshadows Part 1 - Bronze, Copper and Gold

Hello darlings!! Today, I'm going to be posting all about some of my favourite single eyeshadows that are great for a single eyeshadow look. I took my inspiration for this post from emilynoel83, from a video she did I believe back in 2013, all about her favourite stand alone eyeshadows that are capable of being used for a one-eyeshadow look.

A little warning : If you live in Trinidad and Tobago, the Avon Single Eyeshadows I'm mentioning, may not be available to you, because Avon has officially stopped selling their products to Trinidad and I believe a few other Caribbean islands.  I'm sorry for including them since they are hard to get your hands on, but you don't need to get the exact products listed here.

All of the eyeshadows that will be mentioned, are a mid-tone colour with a shimmery/metallic in finish, but when blended into the crease, they take on a softer, more satin look, creating the illusion of two separate shadows on the eye.I usually do this type of eyeshadow look when I'm strapped for time on a morning, or if I'm feeling lazy and don't want to use multiple eyeshadows for one look.

Simple, One Eyeshadow Look Using Avon Satin Taupe Single Eyeshadow

1. Bronze and Copper

Bronzes and Coppers look amazing on brown eyes, because to me they bring out the richness in the brown. I also find that these shadows bring out the warmth in my skintone. I have a warm/yellow undertone to my skin (MAC NC44/ True Match W7).

Top Row:
  • Avon Single Eyeshadow (full review in archives)
    • Copper - (true copper colour)
    • Bronze Luster - (deep smokey bronze shade with some gold shimmer throughout)
    • Satin Taupe - (a brown taupe shade)
Bottom Row:
  • Milani Single Powder Eyeshadow - Caramel Brown (A golden bronze brown)
  • L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow - Bronzed Taupe- The Infallible Eyeshadows from L'Oreal, closely resemble a pressed pigment and are best applied with the fingers.
Swatches of each of the aforementioned eyeshadows.
All of these eyeshadows are very soft and pigmented, and they don't typically need any base/primer beneath them unless you have super oily eyelids, then I will recommend using a eyeshadow primer underneath.

2. Gold

Excuse me while I rip off Goldmember from Austin Powers by saying, " I love gold!"
Gold eyeshadow on my eyelids just make me extremely happy. I have a good number of gold eyeshadows, but the following three (3), are my favourite for a single eyeshadow look.
Each of these shadows have a very warm tone but are not strong yellow golds by any means, therefore they really bring out the warmth in the skin, or at least in my skin.
Slight warning about the Prestige eyeshadow, it is super pigmented, the texture is quite similar to the L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows, where it feels incredibly soft, but the amount of pigment is insane, so be very careful when applying it. I recommend applying onto the lid with a finger, then blending out with a fluffy brush like the CALA 311 or Ecotools Blending Brush.

 Left to Right:
  • NYX Single Eyeshadow- Oro
  • Prestige Eyeshadow - Golden Retriever
  • Milani Runway Eyes Baked Eyeshadow - Bronze Doll
Swatches
Part 2 of this series will go live either next Friday or this Sunday, I haven't decided on that just yet, but I didn't want to make this post too picture heavy. I've also bought some new products to test out, and I can't wait to get to work on those post. I'll post a picture of the hauled products on Instagram, so be sure to follow me over there, also I posted my May favourites on my Instagram also so feel free to check it out (@ladyjpsych).

I believe that is all for today, I hope you all have a great weekend, and a great week, and I will talk to you all again very soon.
Stay happy, positive and healthy darlings.

Maybelline Clean Express Makeup Remover

Hello dolls, this is my second time doing this post, because my Blogger app decided to crash before the full draft could upload....yay (n_n).

Today, I'm going to be talking all about the Maybelline Clean Express Makeup Remover.

In my last empties post, I spoke about the Simple Kind To Eyes Makeup Remover, and I mentioned that I was trying out something new to me because I've never used any eye makeup remover other than the one from Simple. Earlier this week, I posted a picture teasing this makeup remover, and all I can say is that this thing knocks my socks off.

Teaser Picture from my Instagram
Product Claims :
  • Quick-Break Action - Shake to activate dual phase formula. First Phase instantly breaks up stubborn makeup, even waterproof mascara, while the second washes it clean.
The claim that this makeup remover instantly breaks up makeup made me laugh in the store, and that was what drove me to try this out for myself. I will admit, this things breaks up makeup very quickly including waterproof mascara and long-lasting gel liner, and you need to use very little to get fast results and I didn't experience any irritation when using it.
What I do, is put 3-4 drops onto a cotton pad or cotton round, hold it to the eye, count to five (5) and then boom, eye makeup is gone.
It's great at cleaning up any fallout from shadows under the eye as long as you don't have on your base makeup, and I know a lot of people tend to do face first then eyes, I tend to do the opposite (eyes then face).

This makeup remover cost me approximately $50TT, which is really good price especially since my beloved Simple Makeup Remover is double that at $100TT. The Maybelline Clean Express Makeup Remover, does give you a lot more bang for your buck, it removes makeup faster than the Simple, it's gentle on the eyes as it has no perfume/fragrance and it's half the price of the Simple.

Would I recommend this product? Yes, I highly recommend it.

This therefore concludes, this weeks post. I know I haven't posted a May favourites just yet, I'm working on it and I am also working on a post all about my favourite single eyeshadows, that can be used to achieve a quick and simple one shadow look for work or school. Emilynoel83 on YouTube who runs Beauty Broadcast blog, did a video on this I believe last year, if not, the year before and I was never able to get it out of my head, so I figured I would do my own version of it.

Until next time, stay happy, stay positive and stay healthy and I will talk to you all soon.
Bye (^_^)/

Nicka K Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer Review

Hello my dears, and welcome back to my blog. How was your week?
Trinidad has been extremely hot and humid lately, and as a person who is prone to headaches and migraines, the humidity has been extremely annoying. I've been fighting headaches since Sunday, hence this week's post will be a bit short because I'm not feeling 100% but I refuse to miss a blog post.

Absolute New York Eyeshadow Primer by Nicka K
Absolute New York Eyeshadow Primer/ Nicka K Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer
Price: $20-30TT
If you have been following me for a while, you know I've been hunting for a good, inexpensive eyeshadow primer that I can use to substitute for my beloved Urban Decay Primer Potion and Smashbox 24HR Photo Finish Eyeshadow Primer. I tried the Rimmel Exaggerate Eyeshadow Primer and I hated it, so I decided to give this a try, and see if it was any good because I haven't really heard anything about it.

  • Packaging
    • A sleek black tube, with a wand. Nothing special about the packaging on this product
Comes with a wand

  • Product
    • A creamy, beige primer, that is extremely lightweight and it blends very easily. However, if you're blending with your finger, it is very easy to over blend and remove the product, so I'd advise using a brush. I use the Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush just to lightly blending it all over the eye.

      Light, creamy, beige primer
  • Longevity
    • This product lasts for 6-8 hours on the eye, in extremely hot and humid weather which is great! There was slight creasing around the 6 hour mark, but it's not very noticeable, unless you're looking into a mirror and examining every little detail of your makeup.
After an 8 hour work day, eyeshadow is still intact with negligible creasing

After two weeks of use, I've developed a fondness for this primer. Its blend-ability and virtual weightless on the eye, makes it the perfect primer for a busy work or school day, whether you want to rock eyeshadow or not. The beige colour is enough to even out and mattify the eyelids, so this primer with a bit of your face powder over the top, will work extremely well for your no eyeshadow days. I've been reaching for this more than my Urban Decay Primer recently, so that's how I know I enjoy this primer.

Summary:
  1. Inexpensive - $20-30TT at SuperPharm
  2. Creamy and Blend-able (best blended out with a brush)
  3. Pigmented enough to even out lids
  4. Mattifying
  5. Last 6-8 hours of wear
If Nicka K is available where you live, I would recommend it, however, I don't consider it a dupe for either the UDPP or the Smashbox 24HR Primer, so my search for an inexpensive dupe continues. I have the Milani Eyeshadow Primer to try next and I'm super excited to use it.
I'm contemplating on whether or not I should do a master post of all the eyeshadow primers I have used, and of course informing you of the good, the bad and the downright horrible!

As always thank you for taking time out of your day to visit my blog, I hope you enjoyed and feel free to return, I post every Friday, sometimes I even do a bonus post randomly. Also, feel free to check out my Instagram (@ladyjpsych), my Pinterest and Tumblr (both are J's Mind Palace).
Stay happy, positive and healthy and I hope very much to talk to you all next week.
Bye guys (^w^)/

Product Empties #2

Hello beautiful! How are you today?  I hope you had a great week.
Today, I decided to post an impromptu product empties blog post because on Monday morning, while prepping my skin for my makeup, I ran out of my favourite face primer, so instead of chucking it in the trash, I put it aside and noticed I had accumulated a few products I've completely used up and figured it's about time for some empties.
Now, I'm the type of person who usually only uses up a product if I absolutely love it, so these products are definitely favourites, and some I've actually repurchased multiple times, so let's jump right on in.

Makeup Essentials:

Makeup Removers and Face Primer

Absolute! Makeup Cleansing Tissues by Nicka K.
If you wear makeup on a regular basis, you probably go through makeup removing towelettes/makeup remover wipes constantly, because I know I do. I stated using the Absolute! Makeup Cleansing Tissues in October 2013, and I've never ventured to any other makeup removing wipe. These are sold for approximately $28-32TT, which is an absolute steal here in Trinidad, and they do an amazing job removing makeup. My favourite is the one with Pomegranate Extract, mostly because of the scent but there are a couple other varieties to choose from. It comes with 33 tissues and these things do not dry out. They are always wet and they don't dry out the skin or leave any weird residue.
Tip: Always store your wipes face down to keep the moisture from escaping!
I've already started on a new pack of these wipes, and I'm slowly trying to convince myself to give another brand a chance, but for the price and the quantity and quality of this product, I don't think I ever will turn my back on it unless it gets discontinued.

Simple Kind to Eyes Eye Makeup Remover
I mentioned this a favourites post a while ago, and I can't say enough good things about it. It breaks down waterproof mascara and gel eyeliner like no one's business, all while being super gentle and non-irritating to the eyes. I haven't repurchased this yet, as I am testing out another drugstore brand eye makeup remover, so in a future post I'll do a head to head comparison between the two. I believe this cost me somewhere in the $50-60TT range, I can't remember exactly but to me it's worth the cost to have my extremely sensitive and temperamental eyes pampered by an eye makeup remover (doesn't sound spoilt at all) (-__-")...

e.l.f Mineral Face Primer
I have a severe love/hate relationship with face primers, but if you've been following my blog you know that I am head over heels in love with the face primer. It has been in almost every one of my favourites post! This primer is an absolute staple for me, so imagine how sad I got this past Monday when it decided to run out....(T.T)..WHY?!
I don't have a backup of this in my collection, so I'm holding out until I get a chance to repurchase this by using the Primed and Ready by Prestige, but it doesn't work as well as the e.l.f Mineral Primer. I am planning on trying out some more primers in the future because when you live in Trinidad, or any hot and humid country/region/state, face primer and mattifier is a must to keep your foundation looking flawless.

Non-Makeup Related Empties:

Yes, really a pack of gum!
Nivea Invisible for Black and White 48hr Anti-Perspirant
I love black clothing. I hate white anti-perspirant marks all over my black clothing! I also hate sweating profusely because I live in the hot, humid Caribbean...yay island life! Anyways, I bought this on a whim, trying to give myself a bit of a break from the search for my perfect deodorant, and I was pleasantly surprised. It didn't leave any marks on my black clothing (yes!), however, it has a very clean scent to it, and I am not at all a fan of clean scents. Most people love the smell of linen sheets (typical clean scent), I absolutely hate it! The scent, is enough reason for me not to repurchase it but also Degree recently released in Trinidad, their Dry Spray, under their Motion Sense line, which are hands down the best deodorant/antiperspirant I have ever used. It releases more fragrance as you move and sweat, like dude! I can't recall the price, but I'm sure it was somewhere around the $30TT mark, and it is a good product, so if you aren't off put by clean fragrances like I am, I say give it a try.

L'Oreal Youth Code Dark Spot Corrector Serum Concentrate
As a woman with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), I have had horrible acne, which led to serious hyperpigmentation. It made me very uncomfortable, and as a teenager, I never wore makeup, so it was out there for the world to see. When this product came out, I was super skeptical because I had tried multiple fade creams, lightening creams , d.i.y face masks and nothing worked...but this did.  I've been using this every single day for over 2 years and my skin just loves it. My hyperpigmentation has reduced and even after a fresh breakout, it takes less time for the dark marks to fade. I can not sing the praises of this product enough. It holds a hefty price tag $180TT, but to me it is so worth the money. I am planning on trying the day and night creams from this line, as well as a few more from the L'Oreal skin care line, because I tend to change up my skin care regime every 3-6 months, but this serum remains constant.

Trident White
I love chewing gum. It's a good stress reliever and not as dangerous as alcohol (I don't drink!) or smoking (big no for me also). I tend to go for Trident gum more than any other, not because of the whitens teeth claim, there's Crest 3D White for a reason, but because the flavour of the gum tends to last longer and be more subtle than others. Dentyne Ice gum, is a smack to face when you first start chewing but the flavour fades quickly, however, Trident White is like dipping your toe into the pool and the water is just the perfect temperature, so you can just relax and enjoy.

Now I know the gum was pretty random, but what can I say, I felt like putting something weird in this post, so there you go. Anyways, I haven't done any InstaReviews this week, because I'm still in the process of testing some things out and deciding whether to do a full blog post or just a quickie review. Also, my hair is full on purple ombré now, which makes me super happy, and luckily my boss and supervisors have no problem with it! (Yay for working in research!)
Mother's Day at Grandma's
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Stay happy, healthy and positive and I shall see you next Friday!
Bye loves!

Review - Jordana Fabuliner

Another week, another blog post!
Hello lovelies, I hope you all had a wonderful week. This week's post is all about the Jordana Fabuliner.
Jordana Fabuliner - Black
I purchased this a couple of weeks ago in an attempt to find an inexpensive and reliable liquid eyeliner pen. In one of my first makeup related posts on this blog, I did a Makeup Battle Royale featuring the Milani Eye Tech Extreme Liquid Eyeliner Pen and the L'Oreal Infallible Super Slim Eyeliner Pen and I absolutely loved the Milani liner opposed to the L'Oreal. However, in Trinidad, the Milani Eye Tech stills holds quite a hefty price, so when I saw the Jordana Fabuliner was only $20TT, I had to give it a try. I've been using it almost every day since I bought it, putting it through wringer, to see if it holds a candle to its sister the Milani Eye Tech Extreme (Milani and Jordana Cosmetics are sister companies), and I have to say the Jordana Fabuliner, has left me highly impressed.

Swatch Jordana Fabuliner
As you can see from the picture above, the Jordana Fabuliner is pitch black and matte. I personally am not a fan of shiny or vinyl finish eyeliners, therefore I absolutely adore the finish of this eyeliner. Another pro of this eyeliner, is its lasting power. I cannot stress enough how badly I need an eyeliner that stays put with or without an eye primer, and after consecutive test both w/o eye primer, walking around in humid, midday Caribbean sun, I can say, this thing doesn't budge! Not once did it fade, crease or break down in the heat.
  • Picture 1: Slightly dramatic winged liner with primer
  • Picture 2: Avon Extralasting Eyeshadow Pencil in Amethyst, Jordana Fabuliner
  • Picture 3: Jordana Fabuliner w/o primer after 10 hours

My only problem with the Fabuliner, is the very tip of the pen. It looks more like a marker and it's quite difficult to get all the way into the inner corner, but you get used to it after some practice. The very tip of the pen, doesn't deposit much product so to get to the very inner corner, you have to press/stamp the length of the felt tip pen to the inner corner of the eye.

Fabuliner Tip
Summary:
Pros:
  1. Inexpensive
  2. Pigmented and Matte finish
  3. Long-lasting
  4. Smudge-proof
  5. Waterproof
Cons:
  1. Tip of the felt marker too wide to go into the inner corner

All in all, this is a great, inexpensive felt liner pen and I'm surprised that I don't hear much about it. I highly recommend this eyeliner to everyone.
I know that this post might seem slightly rushed, but I really didn't feel the need to beat around the bush a whole lot on this post. I've been super excited to tell you all about this product so I decided to jump right in.
Feel free to follow me on Instagram (@ladyjpsych) where I post randomly throughout the week, and also I have a new Pinterest follow button to the top of my blog page...yay!
I hope you all have a great week, stay happy, healthy and positive.
I shall see you all next Friday!
Bye (^-^)/

Nerd Favourites #2 (and A Few Makeup Faves too!)

Hello everybody!

Before getting into the bulk of the post, I just wanted to put some love and prayers for the victims of the Nepal Earthquake, the citizens of Baltimore, and any other individual who is going through a hard time and just needs some love and positivity. <3
.........................................................................................................................................................................
It's been a long week but today is the start of a brand new month, and a new month means new opportunities and experiences awaiting you! (^_^)
I figured I'd start off the month of May with my Nerd Favourites!! It's been too long since I did one of these and I've been over the moon about a few nerdy/geeky things this past month so let's jump right in! Oh and I'm going to throw in a couple of makeup things cuz why not?! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Venom (2011)
OMG! This comic is amazing! The art is beautiful and gory! I personally am a huge fan of grit and gore, so characters like Venom and The Punisher have always been some of my absolute favourites. These characters aren't portrayed well in films, so I tend to stick more to comics to get the true thrill and the true nature of the characters without the PG-13 label attached.
This version of Venom does not follow Eddie Brock as Venom but instead a guy named Eugene "Flash" Thompson, a war veteran, who lost his legs while serving, is a recovering alcoholic and works for the government secretly as Agent Venom...and that's as much of the story I'm willing to give away. It truly is an amazing comic, so much so I've been stretching out reading it because I'm almost ot the end and it makes me sad. Alas, all good things must come to an end.

Gotham (NO SPOILERS!)
This show just keeps getting better and better...there are no words to truly express how much I adore the writing and the characters of this show. Oswald Cobblepot is still my MVP, but Edward Nygma & Selina Kyle are gunning for that #1 spot! If you don't watch Gotham, I highly recommend that you check it out. It is truly great to have a show that doesn't solely evolve around Bruce Wayne, and you get to see the development of some truly amazing characters that we know and love from the Batman world.

Judge Dredd Superfiend (Bootleg Universe)
If you like Judge Dredd and grew up in the 90's watching The Ren and Stimpy Show, you're probably going to enjoy watching this animated bootleg series brought to you from producer Adi Shankar. The animated series is available for viewing on YouTube and it is so damn good. It's gory and twisted and was bootlegged off of Dredd 3D which Shankar himself produced. What's better than someone bootlegging themselves? Nothing! Go check it out, you won't be sorry. His YouTube channel is filled with great bootlegs including a Punisher bootleg called Dirty Laundry...\(^o^)/....singing to the heavens because that bootleg is what I expect from anything involving The Punisher, gore, blood and a lot more gore.

Now for any of my lovelies who aren't as big of fans of gore as I am, I'm sorry but now you have arrived at the safe place, where makeup will be discussed.
I don't have very many favourites this month because I recently purchased some products that are new to me, and I've been putting them to the test for the past week. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen me haul some stuff, one of those products will be getting a full review of its own on the blog, and another I have already posted an instareview on, so you can head to my Instagram (@ladyjpsych) to check that out.

Mt first makeup favourite, is something I've own since late last year, I believed I hauled it in the early days of my blog, but I never got around to doing a review and that product is Rimmel London Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer in 230 Deep Ocean. It's a rich, deep blue retractable pencil liner, that is super softy and creamy but it doesn't budge. Whether you use it on your top eyelid with or without primer or on your waterline, it remains where you put until you take it off. I am planning on buying a few more colours because I have the hardest time finding an eyeliner that won't wear off on my waterline, so this pencil is a great, inexpensive find!
Rimmel London Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer - 230 Deep Ocean

Swatch of 230 Deep Ocean

Milani Brow Shaping Clear Wax
It's a clear wax chubby pencil that you use to hold your brows in place. It's just that simple. I usually use this on days when I just feel too lazy to do my brows, to keep them in place, since my eyebrows like to do there own damn thing. It also works great if you fill your brows in with a powder product because it creates a tacky surface for the powder to adhere to.

Milani Brow Shaping Clear Wax & My Pained Fingernails XD
I have a few reviews heading your way soon, but I'm still currently working full time (temporarily) so I'm not sure if I'll be doing a review each week for May...or maybe I should. Maybe I should make May, my month of reviews? Hmmmmmmmmm......decisions, decisions.
Well, I hope you all have a lovely first day of May and a lovely weekend, and if I don't get a chance to say it to you on the day, I'll say it to you now.....May The Fourth Be With You!....  ^_^)
Love you guys, stay happy, healthy and positive and I shall see you all next Friday!
Bye! (^o^)/

What's Up #7 - Chit Chat & Thank You :D

Hello lovelies,
Today, I'm doing a short chatty blog post mostly due to the fact that I tweaked my right wrist, so I can't hold my camera and I can barely manage to hold any of my makeup brushes.
Also, let this be a reminder to be very careful when exercising, especially when integrating a new exercise move into your regime.

It's been a super quiet week for me, I've been feeling down in the dumps as of late, and I've had no interest in doing anything but exercising. To be honest, exercising is just a temporary fix for my mood lately but I know myself well enough to know I should be back to some degree of normalcy by next week. Then again, what is normal? Normalcy is relative...and why am I turning this into one of my old psychology classes, I don't know.

Football this week (for me at least) = (T_T) </3 *sighs* Bayern you broke my heart!....
Liverpool, actually getting back into the winning form (I hope), after getting slaughtered by Arsenal *shudders*...dark times for us. YNWA!

Blog Stuff
Ohhh, I've been testing out a new moisturiser lately, well new to me, not new to the market, and I am planning to do either a full post here or a quickie review on my Instagram. I've been changing up my skincare products lately, because I've been hormonal as heck and my hormones and my skin don't get along nicely at all...(damn you PCOS!) I'm currently dealing with random breakouts/scarring and dark spots (post-breakout) + my pores are opened and so visible it's driving me nuts. What made it better, was none of my old faithful products seem to be helping, so I'm back to using a full Bioré cleansing routine and switching between regular moisturiser and oil, to keep my skin moisturised.

Winged Liner Tutorial - I'm still on the fence on whether or not to make one. There are soo many pictorials and video tutorials out there, that I feel as though mine would get lost in the masses, also I'm not a makeup artist, I'm not qualified to teach these things. My internal debate is still ongoing, but I will let you know if one will be made or not.

I've recently decided, to move all hauls strictly to my Instagram (@ladyjpsych). It's easier and most effective for hauls to just do them via instagram and then do a review on the products on here on the main blog. (See, I can make decisions! I've no idea who I'm trying to fool here.)

Thank You <3
A massive thank you to everyone who reads my blog post/visits my blog, close to 500 views, which to me is pretty crazy. I started my blog as a place to just post my babble, and to know that there are people out there who read and I would like to hope enjoy my babbling, it really means a lot to me! \(^w^)/ *Internet hugs all round*

I think I've babbled and rambled on for quite a bit now, so I will end things here for this week. Stay tuned though, next week I'm planning to post all about my go-to brushes (they're all inexpensive and cruelty-free!). Until then, stay happy, healthy and positive (I know I'm trying to!) and I shall see you all soon.
Bye-Bye (^_^)/

DIY Mattifying Face Primer

Hello sweeties, (gotta get a Doctor Who reference in), I teased about this in my last post, so here it is, a DIY face primer that works (for me at least).
Disclaimer: I didn't not develop this recipe, I found it on Pinterest, and I have a link to my Pinterest to the right.

Link to source post:
http://m.instructables.com/id/DIY-Starter-Makeup-Kit-and-More/step3/Primers-Toners-and-Setting-Spray/

I was searching Pinterest for ideas of homemade mattifying primers, because my oily skin has just been out of control lately, (yay hormones)( "-_-), and I came across a very simple recipe using milk of magnesia.
I've personally have been using milk of magnesia as a mattifier but only for special occasions because it tends to clog the pores.
The recipes requires a spray bottle, water, milk of magnesia and rose water (optional).
Milk Of Magnesia

Distilled Water

Depending on how oily your skin is, you can tweak the recipe, however I used equal parts of water and milk of magnesia (1/2 cup each) and 2 tbps rose water. Pour into the spray bottle, give it a good shake and voila!

Having it in a spray bottle makes application a breeze but I still recommend patting it in with a sponge to ensure that it gets distributed evenly on the skin.

I've been using this in conjunction with my e.l.f Mineral Face Primer and my L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder foundation and it makes my skin look naturally flawless (which it isn't). It doesn't clog my pores and my level of oiliness isn't as ridiculous as it normally is...yay!

This is a quick and easy DIY, and it makes me want to try out some more finds from Pinterest.
Until next week, stay happy, healthy and positive!
Bye (^_^)/

Update: Work and Makeup.

Hey lovelies, it's been a minute.
Working temporarily in research is exhausting. I have done nothing but work and sleep for the past two weeks. I haven't touched a video game nor have I experimented with makeup. It's been primer, foundation, mascara and lip stain for the past two weeks.
Insert random at work selfie:

Primer: elf Mineral Face Primer/ Prestige Primed and Ready + D.I.Y mattifying primer
Foundation: L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation (328 Sun Beige)
Mascara: L'Oreal Miss Manga
Lip Stain: NYX Simply Nude Lip Cream (SN06 Sable)

I have been playing around with some  D. I. Y's that I will definitely do a post on next week! Get pumped!

I think next week I'll break out my Smashbox Full Exposure Pallette and try some different looks? Should I take pictures or try a pictorial? So many questions...

Random Pokemon News: I got a shiny Reshiram!!!!!! Best GTS trade ever!

Anywho, I think this is all for this week. Have a great weekend guys and I'll see you next week. Stay happy, healthy and positive!
Bye (^_^)/

February Favourites: Short and Sweet

Hey everyone. Its favourites time again and I will admit I don't have very many this month, however I do have favourites from different categories apart from makeup, yay!

Makeup

Jordana Twist and Shine Moisturizing Lip Balm Stain - 05 Honey Love
Last month, I raved over this particular product and it continued to be my go to lip product for the month of February. It's moisturising, leaves a beautiful colour on the lips. For swatches, you can check out my January Favourites post in the archives.

Maybelline Shine Free Loose Powder - Medium
This is my current go to powder for when I don't feel like wearing foundation. It is not a powder foundation, just a traditional loose powder, the coverage is very light, but it helps to keep shine at bay for a few hours, so if I'm running errands, I just dust this on over some face primer either my elf or Prestige primer (also have a blog post on those) and that's my face makeup done for almost all of February. It has a pink undertone, which is the only draw back for me since I have very yellow undertones, however on the skin, it isn't noticeable.

Makeup Tools

EcoTools Fan Brush
It's so fluffy!!!! (Cue Agnes from Despicable Me voice) I initially bought this brush for highlighter, but I fell in love with using it for applying my loose powder. It picks up just enough product and all I have to do is lightly dust it on my face. The bristles are super soft and help to distribute the powder evenly, and even better EcoTools is quite affordable. I am thinking about buying a separate fan brush for highlighter, something smaller, maybe the elf fan brush.

Cala Professional Blending Brush (311)
A synthetic bristle blending brush, that works well with both cream and powder eyeshadows. It's soft, fits into the eyesocket easily, if you have very small eyes, I would recommend this brush for blending out shadows but not necessarily for applying them into the crease.

Television

Fresh Off The Boat
Based on the book by Chef Eddie Haung, Fresh Off The Boat is the best new comedy in recent years. Constance Wu who plays the mother, Jessica is hilarious. She honestly steals the show. I highly recommend you guys check it out.

Gotham
Fish did what to herself?!?!
Alfred!!!!! *ugly crying*
Gotham has been getting better and better with each episode. The writers are doing an awesome job. Can't recommend Gotham enough.

Games

World Of Warcraft
I recently started playing on a new, US based server as a Night-Elf Druid and I've been having so much fun. Unfortunately, my prepaid game card ran out so now I can't play. However, I am planning on upgrading to Warlords of Dreanor at the end of March, so I can't wait to get back into WoW.

This is really short, but I really haven't been doing much this month in terms of wearing makeup, or playing games. On Monday, I start a temporary job, which I super excited for, and I'm hoping my migraines don't ruin the experience.
Until next week loves, have a safe and fun weekend. Stay healthy, positive and happy.
Bye (^_^)/

What's Up #6: Rough Week

Hey guys, today's post is going to be very different. I've had a whirlwind of a week this week, and it's left me with no gusto to play around with products, or to even come up with an idea for a blog post this week. I'm not going to go into what happened, but I know that there may be others going through a rough time and just need to know that they're not alone.

If you're having a rough day or a rough week or month;
  1. You have every right to feel those emotions, it's okay to feel sad or angry, holding in emotions, burying emotions damages your emotional and mental health.
  2. DO NOT let anyone make you feel guilty for feeling sad or for crying. It's healthy to express negative emotions
  3. Take some time to yourself. If it makes holding up in your room watching old, funny YouTube videos or re-watching an childhood favourite series, then do it. Invest some time in yourself, doing something you know you enjoy, to give yourself a boost of positivity.
  4. Please do not turn to self harm or self loathing
  5. If you have someone close to you who you trust, talk about it. Sometimes, talking about a problem with a trusted friend really does help to lift some of the weight off of your shoulders.
Also, if you haven't heard any of these recently,
  1. You're amazing.
  2.  You're loved.
  3. You're beautiful, and don't ever forget that.
  4. You are worth more than you can imagine.
  5. I believe in you.
I think this is where I'll leave things off for this week. I shall see you all next week.
Love you all!

January 2015 Favourites

Hey guys! Initially, I wasn't planning on doing a January favourites and now as  I am typing this, I'm in a terrible mood and really don't feel like posting anything at all. However, my promise to myself and to this blog was to post every Friday for 2015, so I'm going to fight through it and deliver a post.

I was ill for most of December into January and to the tail end of January I got ill again (T__T). I wasn't leaving the house much but when I did, I wore little to no makeup whatsoever. There were however a few products that I thoroughly enjoyed using, and they've snuck their way into my heart.

1. L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation (328 Sun Beige)
A massive thank you to one of my best friends Stephie, for recommending this foundation to me. We both have oily/combo skin, and she told me about this foundation about a year ago. At the time, I wasn't ready to invest in a new foundation but I kept it on my list of things to try. During January, I did a massive cleaning out of my makeup collection and ended up with only two foundations, my L'Oreal True Match and Revlon Colorstay. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the Revlon Colorstay Oily/Combination formula, because it feels super heavy on my skin, I actually feel the foundation sitting on my skin, it's such a odd feeling. I decided, to give the Magic Nude foundation a try because I remembered Stephie saying that it was super lightweight and blended in like a dream, and after doing so searching around the internet, trying to find my shade match, I went to Superpharm (local drugstore) I picked it up. I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised by how liquidy this foundation is. You shake the bottle and it sounds like you're shaking a water bottle. I wish this foundation came with a pump or even a dropper, because it is so easy to spill or pour out excess product, which to me is the only major downside of this foundation.
The shade match is perfect for me. I have extremely yellow/olive undertones and sun beige (328) is perfect for me (I'm a MAC NC44, L'Oreal True Match I can work with either W6 or W7). Very easy foundation to blend, it's recommended to be applied with your fingers, and that's how I apply mine, I think with it's texture and formulation, it would absorb into brushes and sponges quite quickly. To me this foundation is perfect if you're in a rush, it's lightweight, doesn't go on streaky, blends like a dream, has a powder finish. I've worn this foundation for 12 hours without setting it with powder and despite having to blot every 3-4 hours, the foundation didn't break down at all. I wear glasses, and the foundation stay put on my nose bridge where my glasses' nose guard is situated. I've gotten compliments a few times while wearing this foundation about how clean and healthy my skin looked, and people were in shock when I told them I was wearing foundation. Yay!!

2. Jordana 12 HR Made To Last Eyeliners
Super creamy and pigmented gel formula eyeliner pencils, that don't smudge onto my lid and crease.....yes please and thank you! I have the shades, 02 Espresso Last, a beautiful and creamy dark brown, 04 Purple Fix which a straight up purple and 06 Jade Jewel which is a beautiful, rich jade/emerald green mix. I didn't intentionally choose liners that were even numbers (lol).  I'm usually all about Avon's Mega Impact/Supershock Gel Eyeliner Pencils, but those do have a tendency to smudge on my upper lids, but they tend to last in my waterline (weird huh!). However, the 12 HR Made To Last, were not made to last on the waterline so I'd recommend using it solely on your upper lash line.

3. Jordana Twist and Shine Moisturizing Balm Stain (05 Honey Love)
Oh honey do I love this balm stain. I should stop trying to be funny (=_='). Despite my corny sense of humour, I genuinely love this balm stain, it's the perfect mix of pigmentation and moisturizing balm in a cute, twist up, jumbo lip pencil. Yes, it is essentially the same as the Revlon Kissable Balm Stains, but they're less expensive and they have a fruity/sweet scent. All in all, it's a win for me and I can't wait to get my hand on some more.

4. NYX Simply Nude Lip Cream (SN06 Sable)
It's a nude that doesn't make me look like the living dead. Win! It's buttery smooth and pigmented. Although, I have very pigmented lips, this product is on me, my perfect my lips but butter shade. It makes my lips look so healthy and since I was using this when I was ill, having my lips look nice and healthy even when I technically wasn't is the best. To me healthy lips help to brighten up the complexion, especially when you're ill.

This my darlings is the end of my favourites post. I hope you all enjoy. Have a great weekend and I will see you all next week.
Bye Bye (^_^)/
